Short-Term Goals

My most immediate goal is to complete my business degree at DelTech, expected Spring 2027. I want to pair the hands-on business experience I’ve gained managing projects, budgets, and vendors with formal training in overall business management. In the meantime, I plan to keep growing as a leader in my current role managing the Delaware State Parks website, taking on more strategic role with how we grow.

Long-Term Goals

My long-term goal is to start my own company. I plan to begin with a line of organic BBQ sauces and expand into rubs and pickled peppers, drawing on both my business education and my culinary training.

How My Experience Supports These Goals

My career has given me the skills a founder needs. At the Department of Insurance, I built a licensing system that brings in roughly $250K in new business each year and redesigned a tax payment system supporting over $50M in annual funds, which taught me to connect operations to revenue and accountability. I’ve managed development budgets and resource allocation at Pixstar and DelDOT, and vendor requirements and oversight on the Delaware State Parks website relaunch. My work on federal certification and compliance documentation prepared me for regulated environments, and my Culinary Arts degree and ServSafe Food Safety Manager and Allergens certifications add the food knowledge and safety standards a food business depends on.

Lifelong Learning and Growth

I’ve followed my curiosity through several fields: a BA in Psychology from Penn State, a BS in Computer Science, and an AS in Culinary Arts from Delaware Technical College, where I graduated summa cum laude while working full time. Each one taught me something different to allow me to grow and keep progressing in both my career and my person endeavors. My business degree is the next step, and I expect to keep learning throughout my career.
